A brief Jobsite history


2006


Jobsite launches OnlineInsuranceJobs, specialising in all aspects of insurance and financial services.

The Appointment Limited which operates InRetail.co.uk, RetailCareers.co.uk and publishes the bi-weekly retail magazine “The Appointment”, has been acquired and joins Jobsite’s expanding portfolio.

Jobsite announce the acquisition of Interbase Limited, which operates ProductionBase.co.uk the networking service for freelancers working in the UK screen, TV and film industries.

Legal Prospects is launched specialising in Lawyer and Paralegal positions.

OfficeRecruit is relaunched using the Jobsite technology platform.



2005


Launch of 'Inside Jobsite', where anyone can read our staff blogs and pose questions or offer advice at our Career Surgery and benefit from the generous Jobsite community.

Jobsite announce the launch of 'RecruitRank', a ground-breaking system that tiers recruitment agencies according to jobseeker feedback, enabling Recruitment Agencies to use the information to monitor and improve their service levels and reduce jobhunters frustration.

Jobsite's 'Personal Profiles' are launched, helping candidates better understand themselves and assist in finding a working environment that suits them best.

Associated New Ventures (ANV), a division of Associated Newspapers Ltd (DMGT) acquire Top-Consultant.com and Officerecruit.com, both join the Jobsite network.

SecRecruit, eMedCareers and ScotRecruit niche sites are launched to extend the Jobsite niche offering.

Once again Jobsite is named as a 'Superbrand' reinforcing our presence in the market.

Jobsite recognised as being one of the best companies to work for (The Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work for 2005)

Jobsite announce its affiliation with 4 leading Eastern European job sites in an agreement with the ERA.


2004


Jobsite set up European Recruitment Alliance (ERA) with leading online recruitment sites across Europe.

LondonJobs.co.uk join the Jobsite network.

Associated New Media (ANM), a division of Associated Newspapers Ltd (DMGT), the publishers of the Daily Mail acquire Jobsite.


2003

Won contract to provide a national online recruitment service over the next 5 years for the National Health Service - the nation's biggest employer.

UK arm of GoJobsite reverts to original Jobsite name.

Featured 3rd in the RealBusiness/Dun & Bradstreet Top 100 UK Fastest Growing Firms.

Acquisition of multiposting capability of Conkers.net



2002

Winner 2002 National Online Recruitment Awards.

Winner 2002 Professional Recruiter Awards for Excellence.



2001


Acquisition of leading financial services recruitment website CityJobs.

Listed as one of the UK's top performing companies in Sunday Times FastTrack and TechTrack league tables.

Winner 2001 National Online Recruitment Awards.

Named as one of only a handful of UK internet 'Superbrands' by the Superbrands Council. Others include Amazon, beeb.com, Yahoo, Egg, AOL.

First UK online recruitment site to attract over one million visits from jobhunters a month.

Launch of GoJobsite international site network, with operations covering Ireland, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.



2000


Jobsite receives investment from Manpower Inc.


Jobsite introduces UK's first personalised candidate home page 'MyJobsite' service - a feature that has now become an industry standard.


1999

Expansion of Jobsite service to corporates, with clients including Motorola, Microsoft and Sony.


1995


Jobsite introduces UK's first multi-sector 'Jobs-by-email' service - a feature that has now become an industry standard.

Jobsite returns a profit - a performance it has repeated every year since.

Jobsite founded as the UK's first multi sector online recruitment service by three brothers - Keith, Graham and Eric Potts, at a time when the whole UK internet had just 40,000 users.
